John R Goodlad

Introduction

John Goodlad is a key figure in the foundation of AAISA ,he is as well ,the President of the Australian Institute of International Affairs -the Western Australia Branch .

John R Goodlad is an experienced Investment Advisor at Hartleys who specialises in assisting Australian and International clients manage their wealth. His focus is on the establishment and ongoing management of long term, quality growth portfolios. John provides a full range of Australian-based services – including advice on shares, fixed interest, financial planning and superannuation. John is a former Australian diplomat with a wide experience of expatriate life.

Prior to joining Hartleys, John spent 16 years as a policy officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (including postings to Bangkok and Jakarta). He speaks Thai, Indonesian and some Mandarin.

John has degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Melbourne. John also has a Master of International Law qualification from the Australian National University where he specialised in International Economics, International Banking and Finance Law and International Securities Law.

Associate Professor Hussein Znad

Introduction

Hussein Znad is an Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering in the Western Australia School of Mine: Minerals, Energy and Chemical Engineering (WASM:MECE) at Curtin University, Australia. He is also a School Director of Graduate Research (Feb 2018 – present), School International Coordinator, and Undergraduate Course Coordinator for Chemical Engineering (Dec 2015 – present). Associate Professor Hussein Znad has more than 16 years of experience in Wastewater treatment & Microalgae cultivation, Renewable energy (Solar harvesting, Biohydrogen, & Biodiesel production), and Functionalized nano-materials for detecting, capturing and recycling metals from aqueous solutions. Hussein Znad is a recipient of the 2020 Faculty Global Positioning Award, and many Japanese research grants (JSPS, MIF, Tokyo Tech., and HORN). Hussein is currently serve as an Editorial Board for Science of the Total Environment and Molecules (Green Chemistry). Hussein is also an adjunct Associate Professor at School of Engineering, ECU, Australia (2020- present). Executive Committee member and Western Australia representative for Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Alumni Association in Australia (JSPSAAA) 2020-2022.

Luma Al-Fraih

  • Through more than 38 Years of continuous working and contribution in the telecom industry of Iraq, got multi Technical, Strategy &Business Planning, commercial and regulatory experiences. She Occupied senior director levels both in the government and privet sectors.
  • Last position was ,Head of Strategy & Business Planning for Asiacell one of the 3 mobile  telecommunication companies of Iraq,Retired 2017.
  • Joined the Australian Arab Institute for Strategic affairs AAISA in June 2018.
  • Started  own business Design ,Printing, Shipping & Private Mail Box Rental, in May 2019 The business name is Print N Ship located in NSW Sydney.

Prof. Nagham Al-Nama
